Yoga Session

Stretching, breathing, sweating, ommming, what’s it all about? There are many misperceptions around yoga. It’s only for skinny, bendy, hippies right? Wrong.

Yoga can be hard to define as the term spans a wide range of practises, all very different. The good news is that there is a yoga type to suit everyone and what better than a challenging, powerful style for cardio lovers?

In the midst of summer you may be feeling physically fit, but you might feel so sore and tight in some areas of the body, especially after workouts. Yoga is the ideal complement to other types of training and just one session a week has been proven to reduce muscle recovery time, prevent injuries and strengthen key muscle groups (as well as getting you a little bit bendier!). The other good news is that ANYONE can do it and EVERYONE can benefit from it. So if you don’t know your downward dog from your warrior, or just want to be able to touch your toes, this introduction to power yoga will be right up your street.

This session will be a great introduction to power yoga for the complete beginner and even seasoned practitioners.

Benefits include:

Strengthening the legs, core, arms and back
All over body toning
Stretching  those commonly tight areas like hips, shoulders and hamstrings
Focus on strengthening muscles around those problem joints like knees, ankles and the spine
Detoxify the body through sweat and rinsing out the internal organs
Improving concentration and self discipline
Releasing tension from the body as well as the mind

About Esther
Esther has completed Power Yoga teacher training through Power Living in Manly, the fastest growing power yoga studio in Australia.  After discovering yoga a few years ago Esther found that she no longer ached for days after exercise and despite being an active runner, she has never had an injury, which she attributes to her continuous yoga practice.  Esther loves the reward of introducing people to yoga and seeing their surprised reaction at how challenging a class can be and then experiencing the amazing benefits firsthand.
